Tour description
Winter 2025-2026 update:
Unfortunately there is no ice cave located near the edge of the glacier this year, that we think is worthy of visiting and safe to access. This tour is therefore longer and more difficult than previously advertised. As of 16th of October the information on this page is up to date.
From January we will only be operating a longer glacier hike & ice cave combination tour, you can find more information about that tour here.
Discover a stunning natural ice cave filled with beautiful shades of blue ice, a truly unique experience inside Iceland’s glaciers.
Join us for an adventure to one of Iceland’s stunning ice caves! We start at the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and take about a 35-minute drive to the glacier parking area. From there, it’s a short 15-minute walk to the edge of the ice, where we put on crampons and get ready for the glacier hike. The walk to the cave takes around 45 minutes. At the ice cave, we’ll spend 30–45 minutes exploring its beautiful blue walls and snapping photos before heading back the same way.
